Prairie Ridge Motors opened in 1991 when Hal Halvorsen sold his first truck out of a two-bay garage on Route 40. Today his daughter Kristin runs the dealership with the same rule Hal started with: treat every customer like they're going to be a neighbor, because out here, they usually are.
